December 21

I am editing the curriculum for church and it says over and over "Jesus can do ANYTHING"

“With God, all things are possible.” Matthew 19: 26 NIV
I really wish tonight he would do a miracle

Christmas tree oh christmas tree

This year I wanted anything but a Christmas tree and what I received is the best example of my family and love on branches! As I shared in a past post, I didn't REALLY want to put up a tree BUT we did and so after staring at an empty tree for a few days and trying to talk myself into pulling out all the ornaments I decided to start... with a little package of ornaments to paint. I laid them out and the boys, Memaw, Grams and I painted them and then hung them on the tree. The boys from this point began making ornaments with anything they could find, string paper of every color and even wrapping paper. They did a great job and this little tree may be the most special one we have had yet! full...not so much, Beautiful... to me, Elegant ... to me, perfect and special to us all.

Precious

What a sweet word that is so dear. This morning I took the boys to school after adding the reindeer antlers and nose to our car and then dropped Zane off. Choosing not to take a shower and stay in my sweat pants and greasy hair for one more day. I enjoyed a nice time shopping to fill some bags for the Open Door and getting goodies to make peppermint bark with the boys when they get home. At the check out line I enjoyed a deep conversation with Joann about her slacker ex-son in law who won't pay child support, her husband died 2 years ago and she is trying to make ends meet, help her girls and she was aggravated that the lady that runs the local soup kitchen came in to buy salad dressing different from what they already had because the people eating there didn't "like" what they had. I LOVED this chat because she is right on so many levels but the one true thing is that when we serve, when we give when we share our love and when we sacrifice our hard earned money for others it has to be done with a giving heart and the trust that God will use that gift, that sacrifice to do his work to show his love. Life is precious and I know that each day is a gift. So I smiled at her and said I hope this is the month he decides to pay his child support and I hope you have a blessed and peaceful day. Merry Christmas. I load up my car and head to the post office and go in with my things to mail. I smile at this lady in the car next to me and head off to the door, get there and remember the stickers i wanted to include in the gift. As I go back to my car she said you look precious, I said I am sorry what did you say and she repeated herself you look precious. I quickly think to my self what in the world I haven't showered in 2 days and have sweatpants on that include a hole in them, a pullover, may hair is slicked back in a pony tale... and I answer Thank you that is the sweetest thing you are precious too. I know I did NOT look precious so what was this woman seeing? How did she feel that I a perfect stranger was precious. I believe it was because I was happy because i was doing what God has called me to do. Serve, love and give time to others. Both of these ladies were older and I hope that through me they saw Christ and that in Christmas they find him in the precious moments, today I sure did!

Oh Christmas tree Oh Christmas tree!

December 4th! So we will be spending the Christmas break in Orlando this year! All of us are so excited. Although our trips to Orlando are frequent(never frequent enough) this will be the first time in seven years that we will spend Christmas in Orlando! All of this to say that I Mrs. Christmas really didn't want to put up a tree this year. So usually the normal Saturday after Thanksgiving came and left and the Giusti home... still had no tree. I asked my grandmother if I was a bad Mom if I didn't put up a tree at all...answer, simple and sweet... "yes". So I try Mike. Mike we really don't need a tree this year do we since we will not even be home for Christmas. Mike's answer "yes but we can go get one from the store instead of going to cut one down... my reply no it is all or nothing SOOOOOO at church Sunday a little bird told us about the following adventure and we tagged along. Every one happy, the perfect tree was found by the boys, Daddy was happy because it was a real tree and I secretly was SOOOOO happy because it didn't really feel like Christmas without Mr. Green in the house! I hope you enjoy the photos as much as we did searching for him and finding him! The boys found it, Mr Ben cut it with his BIG DADDY saw and all is well in the Giusti house except now it has to be decorated!

Family is the one thing I am so thankful for. All of my family! There is nothing more priceless then time making memories with the ones you love! We had a fun day! We ate, watched football, the boys played frisbee golf and then... Thanksgiving day SALES!!!!!! The kids had a blast all playing together and had a pile up palette party in the basement that night! LOVE IT!

Thanksgiving Programs

Beautiful songs and precious memories and turkey dinner with our sweet Walker!

Mrs King - She has been so precious to Walker! He loves her and has grown in so many ways thanks to Mrs. King and the lovely lady below, Mrs. West. These ladies have loved on Walker, encouraged him to grow, explore and be confident in his self. I am truly THANKFUL for these precious ladies in his life. Mrs King is his student teacher and will not be with him the second part of the year but the gifts she has already given to Walker are life changing. Mrs West has the best heart I have ever seen and I am so thankful to have her as his teacher. I know he is hugged daily and encouraged to take risks, read, grow and LOVE school by her influences! She also allows me to be involved in as much as possible and I appreciate the opportunity to help and be a part of their day. LOVE LOVE LOVE these ladies and every moment I am truly blessed.

Mason also had a program where he memorized his lines and was a hunter during the first Thanksgiving meal! So cute! We also feel so blessed with his teacher and teacher's assistant. I know he is being challenged and encouraged to do his best. Mrs. Green uses every moment of their day to learn and grow and explore so many ways of learning. I know that every moment Mason is in that classroom time is not waisted. I walked in the other day and Mrs. Green was reading to them while they had snack... beautiful!
One of my most favorite teachers and someone I respect to this day would read to us during down times. Reading is such a beautiful gift to give a child and Mrs. Green has given this to Mason! He loves to read and is almost at the point of finding a quiet little corner and reading a book by his self! He is really learning to use expression and it is G R E A T!!!!!!! Happy Turkey day!
